In 1989 I took a Japanese language class during my senior year of high school. I took another semester in college a few years later, and since then, off and on, I’ve picked up the study… with one goal in mind.
To eventually take this trip. Yeah, it was twenty years in the making. I know, I know, I should have done it sooner. But I’m glad I did it now. With any luck it will only the first of many “10 days in Japan” adventures.
While planning this trip I scoured the internet looking for useful information on what to expect, how to get places, etc. etc. You know, the things that “they” usually don’t tell you. There were a few useful resources and books and whatnot, but there were still a few things lacking. Hopefully this site will fill in the gaps, and if nothing else, I get to share my experience with you.
I suppose, technically, this is merely a “10 days in and around Tokyo” trip, but like I said, hopefully its just the first!
